PG&E's PowerPathway Program

Launched in 2008, PowerPathway is a nationally recognized workforce development model that aligns with line of business to create a qualified and sustainable pipeline of candidates for PG&E and the utility industry through public-private collaborations.

PG&E launched a unique PowerPathway program at JBLM in January 2016.  It includes 15 active duty individuals from Joint Base Lewis-McChord.  Training focuses on primarily gas careers.  PG&E is working with the Washington utilities to develop a unified “usefulness” model.

How are students selected?
PowerPathway receives between several hundred and a thousand applications for each program. Program applicants are rigorously screened by third-party, community-based workforce development partners to ensure the best fit for PG&E and the utility industry.
